Emu Oil Farmed and Formulated in the USA

Emu Farmed in the USA

Now, more than ever it is vital to know where your emu oil comes from. Recent increases in demand for Emu Oil are bringing more farmers, rendering and formulating facilities, packagers and distributors into the market.

Vast emu farm/factories have been established in India, China and other parts of the world. Atrocious conditions, lack of sanitation and regulation in these areas have already led to micro-biological and chemical contamination of air, rivers and ground water. Furthermore no feed safety regulations exist. Remember melamine contamination of pet foods?

Do you want to spread highly penetrating emu oil on your skin from places where standards and practices are uncertain?

Stanley Johnson and Bird
Emu Farming at Songline - Room to roam, shelters and love.
Small U.S. farms that use sound humane, natural and sustainable practices will produce the highest quality oil. Songline Emu Farm raises our birds without hormones, unnecessary antibiotics, chemical pesticides or herbicides.

The birds have plenty of space, fresh water, sunshine and attention. We sell oil from our own birds and those of other select US farmers who follow the same farming and feed practices.

Emu Oil Formulated in the USA

Our oil is processed in the USA, at a food grade oil refining facility, using a vacuum deodorizer. This technology is used most widely in food processing and has the longest history at being the most effective and efficient at producing the safest product. The Vacuum Deodorizer brings the oil to proper temperatures to insure sterilization.

Being from an animal source, it is very important that emu oil is brought up to an acceptable temperature for a period of time to insure that any viruses, infections or bacteria that may have been picked up at the meat processing plant or other sources is removed. It is then filtered using natural clay rather then chemicals. The final proprietary process finishes the oil to insure a creamy product with no separation. The whole process is done under GMP (General Manufacturing Practices) for food products.

All of our emu oil is processed according to the AEA Trade Rules and carries the American Emu Association Certified Fully Refined Seal.
